• Talk to faculty in your major field of interest so that you understand what the requirements of
the program are and if it matches your expectations.

If you need assistance in setting up an appointment with a faculty member in your major field of interest, contact the administrative assistants for each of the schools:

• Declare a major

Begin the paperwork in the Registrar’s office, located on the top floor of the Tom Murray building, or in the Student Services suite, located on the second floor of the Cailloux Campus Activity Center.

NOTE: Education majors and Nursing majors should “declare” with other students but they are not accepted into the program until after the sophomore year following a separate application process. Declaration of major does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

First year students will be able to log onto AgileGrad and explore four-year programs of study, with course-listings arranged by semester, for any program on campus. Check this page AgileGrad frequently for further information. This program will allow you to prepare a degree plan and share it electronically with your advisor.
