Students who complete the major in
Information Systems are awarded a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree (BBA). The BBA in Information Systems is
structured to enable graduates to succeed in the competitive global
and technology-driven business environment. The degree focuses on
the major technology areas that are essential for careers in
information systems. Students will earn help-desk and desktop
technician certifications upon completion of the degree. In
addition, students have the options for four additional
certifications in computer support, networking, security, and
database management.
Graduates are also prepared to pursue further study toward a
graduate degree such as a Master of Business Administration and
Masters of Science in Information Systems or Information Technology.
As with any professional program, the classroom component of the
Information Systems degree is greatly enhanced by direct experience
in an information systems environment. Accordingly, an internship
program and field research opportunities expose students to the role
of information systems in the accomplishment of an organization’s
goals and objectives.
