     Schreiner University


A graduate of Tivy High School, Mrs. Mitchell studied music and education for four years at the University of North Texas, Denton and another two years at Schreiner. Previously, she served as Music and Education Director and teacher in a local church for many years. She began teaching at Schreiner in 2006.

Married, she has three daughters whom she homeschools. She and her husband have been the Presidents of the Hill Country Home School Association for the past three years. Mrs. Mitchell gives private voice lessons to students in the community and is a chairman of the Harmony of the Hills, a local group of music teachers in the National Federation of Music Clubs.

Mrs. Mitchell is active at First Baptist Church, Kerrville, singing in the worship choir and the praise team. She also teaches an adult Sunday School class. In her “free time,” she enjoys reading and resting.
