I have been an
employee of
Schreiner
University for 5
years and have
other
responsibilities
within the
University,
including
adjunct faculty,
coordinator of
Team Monty (the
orientation
student staff
team) and
advisor of Phi
Delta Theta. I
am an alumni of
Schreiner and
played four
years of soccer
for Schreiner
University,
graduating in
2002 with a B.A.
in Exercise
Science.
During the last
five years, I
have directed
Campus
Recreation from
offices in the
CCAC and the
Mountaineer
Fitness Center.
After graduating
from SU, I was
employed as a PE
and health
teacher for
Notre Dame
Catholic School,
a personal
trainer and as a
fitness
specialist in a
rehabilitation
center. I also
worked for the
YMCA as an
assistant
director of an
after-school
care program as
well as a sports
director for the
YMCA. While
working at the
YMCA in Boerne,
Texas, I was
pursuing my
masters in
kinesiology,
specializing in
sports
psychology,
through The
University of
Texas of the
Permian Basin. I
completed my
masters shortly
after accepting
the Director of
Campus
Recreation
position here at
Schreiner
University.
I am currently
pursing my
doctorate in
psychology,
specializing in
mediation and
conflict
resolution. Upon
completion of my
doctorate
program, I will
have a PsyD of
Psychology and
plan to continue
my work within
higher
education.
When I am not
working I spend
the majority of
my time with my
little girls or
playing
racquetball. I
have been
playing
racquetball for
20 years. As a
junior, I was a
part of the
junior Team
Texas for two
years and was
sponsored by
Extelon. Within
the last couple
of years I have
begun to play
seriously again.
I currently have
a sponsorship
with HEAD and I
am currently
ranked 67th in
the State of
Texas.
