Assistant Professor of Education (Full-Time) PROFESSIONS IN EDUCATION /TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM at Schreiner University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Education. This is a nine-month, tenure-track position. The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Earned doctorate in Education. ABD will be considered.
Full-time teaching experience in EC-12 school classrooms
Successful undergraduate university teaching experiences
Experience teaching a wide range of education courses for Teacher Certification Experience in teaching reading and content methodology Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION: Principal certification preferred
Specialization in Reading Specialization in Curriculum and Instruction and/or School Leadership or Improvement at the doctoral level
Experience with integrating instructional technologies in teaching, including implementing online courses
Experience in supervising clinical teachers
Knowledge of state accreditation standards and procedures
Successful involvement with university-public school partnerships
Evidence of scholarly potential, including presentations and/or publications.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Undergraduate teaching and some online graduate teaching in an MED or principal program
Teach introductory and education methodology courses; 4/4 teaching load. Teach Service Learning courses developed to provide student experience in schools Participate in developing education curricula
Serve as advisor to education majors
Participate in university-public school partnership committees
Engage in scholarly activity leading to grants, presentations, and publications
Participate in service to the department, college, and university
Supervise field experiences and clinical teachers
Health Careers Advisor (Full-time)
The Department of Sciences at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Health Careers Advisor. This is a full-time position available August 2017. The successful candidate will have teaching responsibilities in anatomy and physiology, microbiology and/or general biology courses. The successful candidate will develop and staff the Health Careers Advising Office and develop allied health programs utilizing distance learning and health care facility partnerships. The candidate will coordinate activities and experiences appropriate for students in the allied health program. The successful candidate will be expected to participate fully in departmental duties, committee service, and campus activities. Teaching load is 9 hours per semester.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate (preferred) in health care field, ABD with completion no later than August 2017, or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the health care industry. Professional experience in a healthcare context and teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry (Full-time and Temporary)
The Department of Sciences at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry. This is a full-time, temporary faculty position available August 2017. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses from general chemistry 1 and 2 to quantitative methods (analytical 1) and instrumental analysis (analytical 2). Additionally, successful candidates. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and participation in curricular development and assessment. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in departmental duties, campus activities, and engage in scholarship and/or creative activities aligned with institutional goals. Teaching load is 12 hours per semester.

ADJUNCT FACULTY POSITIONS:
Online Adjunct Instructor of Management Science (Graduate Instructor Business MBA Graduate Program) The Department of Business & Technology in the Kathleen C. Cailloux School of Professional Studies, Schreiner University, Kerrville, Texas, invites applications for an adjunct graduate level online MBA teaching opportunity in Management Science or related discipline.
Qualifications - Required: Ph.D. in Management Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Applicants should have a strong commitment to and be capable of teaching courses in the following areas: Management Statistics or Business Statistics for Decision-Making.
Qualifications - Preferred: PhD in Management Science. Postsecondary online teaching experience and/or business and industry experience. Experience leading creative activities for students.
Responsibilities: Applicants should have a strong commitment to graduate teaching. Duties currently include teaching an annual online course in Statistics for Management in the online MBA program. Holding a Skype for Business class session one evening per week for the seven weeks of the term. Assessing student performance and reporting grades to the Registrar. Current program is new and growing, so additional class sections are anticipated.

Adjunct Instructor of Business (Adjunct Instructor of Business BBA Undergraduate program) The Department of Professional Studies at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Business. This is a part-time semester-to-semester contract (15 credit hours per year maximum), non-tenure-track position available Fall 2017. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in one or more of the following areas: introduction to business, business law, CIT networking, professional business skills, management, marketing, finance, accounting, or interdisciplinary courses in accordance with program needs.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate (preferred) in a business or related field, ABD with completion no later than May 2017, or a master’s degree with 18+ graduate hours in a business discipline or related teaching discipline. Evidence of prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.

Med-Serg Adjunct Nursing Instructor
The Department of Nursing at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Nursing with med-sug experience.. This position would be teaching evening clinnical classes. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate nursing students in the clinical components of Nursing Leadership and Management. Qualifications: BSN, Preferred master’s degree in nursing, a current Texas Registered Nurse license, and related clinical experience. Will consider a BSN with 15 hours of Masters in Nursing. Adjunct Chemistry Instructor
The Trull School of Sciences and Mathematics at Schreiner University invites applications for a non-tenure track position (part-time) at the rank of Chemistry Instructor beginning August 2017. Teaching responsibilities for this position will be freshman level General Chemistry (CHEM 1301/1101 and/or CHEM 1302/1102) and non-majors Chemistry (CHEM 1303/1103). Additional courses are dependent on the expertise of the person hired and the needs of the program. Qualified candidates should have at least Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
Adjunct Instructor Mathematics
Duties include teaching lower-level coursework such as Developmental Mathematics, College Algebra, Finite Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or Pre-Calculus. Preference will be given to applicants with a master’s degree in mathematics, but degrees in mathematics education or statistics will be considered.
Adjunct Instructor of History Duties include teaching lower-level introductory survey courses, women's studies, and historical methods. Master's degree or eighteen graduate hours in History required, PhD in History preferred.
Adjunct Instructor of English Duties include teaching lower-level composition and writing courses, upper-level British and World literature. Master’s degree or eighteen graduate hours in English required, PhD in English preferred.
Adjunct Lab Instructor Physics
Duties include physics lab setup, supervising students during labs, and student lab report evaluation. Preference will be given to the applicant with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in physics or engineering, but degrees in science or math where the coursework included undergraduate credit in Physics I and II will be considered.
Adjunct Instructor of Spanish The Department of English & World Languages at Schreiner University seeks to hire one non-tenure-track (part-time) faculty member to teach basic Spanish language courses for their new interdisciplinary program in Spanish & Latin American Studies. The successful applicant should demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence, effective use of instructional technology, and capacity to integrate communicative teaching approaches in the language classroom. Experience or interest in contributing to curriculum-design are welcomed; Masters preferred but not required.
