Assistant Professor of Mathematics (Full-time)
The Department of Mathematics at Schreiner University welcomes applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics. This is a tenure-track faculty position available August 2018. The successful candidate will teach a variety of upper division mathematics courses, as well as lower level courses. Typical duties for the position include teaching 12 hours per semester; service to the university through committee work, serving in positions of leadership, and/or sponsorship of student organizations; staying active in the pursuit of scholarly activity; and advising students both in pursuit of their degrees and in future career options. The typical teaching load is at least 1 upper division class per semester plus lower level courses which can include the Calculus sequence, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Finite Math, and/or College Algebra.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Mathematics (or related field) or ABD with completion no later than August 2018. Teaching experience is preferred.

Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Sport Management (Full-Time)
The Exercise Science and Sport Management Department at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Sport Management. This is a tenure-track faculty position available August 2018. The candidate must be able to teach all levels of Exercise Science including, but not limited to, introductory courses for exercise science majors and non-majors, and upper-level Exercise Science courses. Teaching in the department’s Sport Management curriculum also is expected. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and participation in curricular development and assessment. The successful candidate will be expected to participate fully in departmental duties, committee service, campus activities, and engage in scholarship and/or creative activities aligned with institutional goals. Teaching load is 12 hours per semester.
Qualifications: Position requires a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline, an earned doctorate, or ABD with completion no later than August 2018 for tenure track. Teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.

Assistant Professor of Communications Studies (Full-Time)
The Department of Social Sciences at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Communication Studies. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position available August 2018. The successful candidate should be able to teach a wide range of communication studies courses, which may include introductory speech classes, communication theory, intercultural communication, nonverbal communication, communication and new media, mass communication, strategic communication, persuasion, communication and conflict, among others. Preference will be given to candidates with strong background/experience in mass communication, public relations, broadcast journalism. Additionally, successful candidates must be enthusiastic about advancing the prominence of the program, increasing overall number of declared COMM majors, and working closely with those majors to further undergraduate research opportunities, including travel with students to undergraduate scholarly conferences. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and participation in curricular development and assessment. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in departmental duties, campus activities, and engage in scholarship and/or creative activities aligned with institutional goals. Teaching load is 12 hours per semester. Offer is contingent upon final budget approval.

Dean Sciences and Mathematics (Full-Time)
The School of Sciences and Mathematics at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Dean of the school. This is a tenure-track faculty position available June 2018. The academic dean is responsible for preparing and revising academic program plans for the school or college, while promoting and serving as a model for teaching achievement and professional service. The academic dean also develops strategies to achieve educational goals and objectives. He or she oversees academic integrity and quality education in the college or university by clearly articulating university policy and procedure to members of the school. He or she sets and establishes academic goals for the department to achieve while maintaining high standards in academics and teaching processes. The academic dean helps to provide training to the faculty so they can maintain teaching excellence and conduct scholarly research and creative activity in academic initiatives. The dean is also responsible for maintaining effective communication between students and faculty within the school and with other academic personnel. The dean also acts as a liaison between the students and the administration and between the faculty and the administration. An academic dean makes recommendations concerning the hiring of new faculty members with input from faculty search committees, while also evaluating college administrators and staff, as well as takes part in fundraising, budgeting, and setting academic rules and policies as outlined by the faculty manual.
The candidate must be able to teach one class each semester in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, exercise science, mathematics, nursing or sport management.
Qualifications: Terminal degree in an appropriate field, or equivalent.

ADJUNCT FACULTY POSITIONS:
Adjunct Biology Instructor (Tivy HS Dual Credit)
The Robert B. Trull School of Sciences and Mathematics at Schreiner University invites applications for a non-tenure track position (part-time) at the rank of Biology Instructor beginning August, 2018. Teaching responsibilities for this position will be Anatomy and Physiology I lecture and lab (BIOL 2301/2101) and Anatomy and Physiology II lecture and lab (BIOL 2302/2102). Additional courses are dependent on the expertise of the person hired and the needs of the program. Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Biology or related field.

Adjunct Instructor Business
The Department of Professional Studies at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Business.
This is a part-time semester-to-semester contract (15 credit hours per year maximum), non-tenure-track position. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in one or more of the following areas: business law, management, marketing, or interdisciplinary courses in accordance with program needs.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate (preferred) in a business or related field, ABD with completion no later than May 2017, or a master’s degree with 18+ graduate hours in a business discipline or related teaching discipline. Evidence of prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
Adjunct Nursing Instructor The Department of Nursing at Schreiner University invites applications for non-tenure track positions at the rank of Adjunct Nursing Instructor in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Teaching and/or Clinical Instruction responsibilities are focused in the areas of Adult Critical or Acute Care Experience, Professional Concepts in Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Nursing Leadership and Management, Maternal Childbirth Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Financial Management and Nursing. Additional courses are dependent on the expertise of the person hired and the needs of the program. Online Adjunct Instructor of Management Science (Graduate Instructor Business MBA Graduate Program) The Department of Business & Technology in the Kathleen C. Cailloux School of Professional Studies, Schreiner University, Kerrville, Texas, invites applications for an adjunct graduate level online MBA teaching opportunity in Management Science or related discipline.
Qualifications - Required: Ph.D. in Management Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Applicants should have a strong commitment to and be capable of teaching courses in the following areas: Management Statistics or Business Statistics for Decision-Making.
Qualifications - Preferred: PhD in Management Science. Postsecondary online teaching experience and/or business and industry experience. Experience leading creative activities for students.
Responsibilities: Applicants should have a strong commitment to graduate teaching. Duties currently include teaching an annual online course in Statistics for Management in the online MBA program. Holding a Skype for Business class session one evening per week for the seven weeks of the term. Assessing student performance and reporting grades to the Registrar.
