Assistant Professor of Physics (Full-time)
The Department of Mathematics and Engineering at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Physics. The successful candidate will teach calculus-based and algebra-based physics lectures and labs and some mathematics. Additionally, ability to teach technical graphics (AutoCad) and/or Astronomy is preferred.
Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and excellence in teaching. Experience in college teaching, academic advising, participation in curricular development and assessment, and supervision of undergraduate student research are highly desired.
Teaching in the University's groundbreaking interdisciplinary core curriculum also is expected. The successful candidate will participate fully in departmental duties, committee service, campus activities, and engage in scholarship and/or creative activities aligned with institutional goals. Teaching load is 12 hours per semester.

Qualifications: Position requires a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline, although preference is for the earned doctorate or ABD with completion no later than August 2013 for tenure track.
Full-time: 9 month contract, exempt faculty position
