Assistant Professor English (Full-time)
(British/World Literature)
The Department of English at Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of English (British/World Literature). Candidates should have university teaching experience in composition and literature courses.  Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate an active research agenda, as well as experience advising undergraduate students. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position available August 2013. Teaching in the University's groundbreaking interdisciplinary core curriculum also is expected. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and participation in curricular development and assessment. The Department of Nursing at Schreiner University invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of adjunct clinical instructor in the new Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program beginning August, 2013. Teaching responsibilities for this position are focused in the areas of medical surgical nursing, psychiatric nursing, and chronic health nursing. STAFF: Clinical Education Center Coordinator, BSN Program (10-Month Contract)
Responsible for hands-on teaching of clinical skills in Clinical Education Center (CEC) for Junior and Senior BSN students. Organizes student orientations and other student learning activities. Includes coordinating with BSN Course Coordinators for skills to be taught and incorporating medium- and high-fidelity simulation into teaching plan, for scheduled CEC days (Junior and Senior students), as well as tutoring sessions. Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies for the CEC. Also acts as coordinator for hospital clinical sites, including student orientations, scheduled rotations, facilitator to sites for student documentation.  The Director is responsible for the overall direction of all programs and activities of Counseling Services, including clinical services such as intake, individual/group counseling, emergency/crisis response and individual assessment. Duties include direct counseling services for students; development and facilitation of related programs; participation in committee work as assigned; management of calendar and budget; and support of Student Services programs. STAFF:  Learning Support Services Program Aide  
Schreiner University accepts employment applications on a continual basis for program aides. This position is an "on call/as needed" basis, with at least a 48 hour notice.
