Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (Full Time)
The Director will develop and lead an innovative initiative merging student academic support with challenging faculty development. Reporting to the Dean of Student Success, the Director provides strategic and transformational leadership in promoting excellence in teaching and success in learning by providing faculty and staff with research on best practices, support for curriculum development and innovation, consultation on course redesign projects, forums for collaboration, consulting services on pedagogy and technology, as well as workshops, seminars and other forms of professional development. Schreiner University recently approved a set of comprehensive Student Learning Outcomes which articulates the core learning to be achieved in our undergraduate education. The Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning will play a critical role in designing and implementing faculty development programming in support of this core learning and its assessment. Director of Institutional Analysis/Research (Full Time)
We seek an experienced institutional research professional to work closely with the senior leadership team, including the Cabinet, the Deans, and the Board of Trustees to provide relevant and timely institutional and environmental information and analyses. The successful candidate will hold a graduate degree, and will demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. This individual will have both a technical and an intuitive grasp of data, and of higher eduction - and will be able to assimilate and articulate their meaning and implications in ways that are accessible to a wide array of audiences. Reporting to the Vice President for Administration & Finance, the Director will join a highly motivated team, and will work collaboratively with campus stakeholders to optimize the quality and availability of relevant data, providing useful analyses and reporting. Church Relations Specialist (3/4 Time)
The Church Relations Specialist, under the guidance of the Vice President for Advancement and Public Affairs, acts as the university’s liaison with the governing bodies, officers and members of the Presbyterian Church (USA) with primary focus in the Synod of the Sun. The Specialist will also build relationships with “local” churches of other denominations. This position also manages the revision process to the covenant with the Presbyterian Church (USA) once every five (5) years and assures compliance with the covenant at all times.
The purpose of Church Relations is to develop and nurture the relationship between the university and Presbyterian Churches, clergy and their individual members, establishing and providing a resourceful partnership between the university and our church constituency.
