Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (Full-time)
The Director will develop and lead an innovative initiative merging student academic support with challenging faculty development. Reporting to the Dean of Student Success, the Director provides strategic and transformational leadership in promoting excellence in teaching and success in learning by providing faculty and staff with research on best practices, support for curriculum development and innovation, consultation on course redesign projects, forums for collaboration, consulting services on pedagogy and technology, as well as workshops, seminars and other forms of professional development. Schreiner University recently approved a set of comprehensive Student Learning Outcomes which articulates the core learning to be achieved in our undergraduate education. The Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning will play a critical role in designing and implementing faculty development programming in support of this core learning and its assessment. Director of the Digital Learning Center and Instructional Designer (Full-time)
The Director & Instructional Designer will develop and lead an innovative, multidisciplinary program of digital studies at Schreiner University while also helping to create course-level and/or program-level curricular resources for traditional face-to-face as well as online/hybrid instructional environments. Center assessment will include evidence of improved student learning. As the instructional leader of the CDL, the Director is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a library of digital projects and products for the humanities as well as other areas of study across campus. Working closely with project teams (which will include students, faculty, librarians and specialists in assessment, digital publication, social science data, user services technology, and digital humanities), the Director collaboratively selects projects and sets priorities, serves as curator of the digital Hispanic Heritage and Culture project, develops contacts with faculty from across the University and showcases work online and annually at an exhibit at the Schreiner’s Mansion. ...... details

We seek a colleague with an active record of research or production in areas of digital humanities who is interested in pedagogy and is committed to enhancing students’ learning experiences by involving students and faculty across campus in new applications of instructional design and digital research. Director of Institutional Research (Full-time)
Schreiner University invites applications for the position of Director of Institutional Research. This is a full-time, 12 month, staff position available January 2014. The Director will report directly to the Vice President for Administration & Finance, but will work closely with the President, the Provost, and the rest of the University leadership, especially the Cabinet and Deans. Responsibilities will include directing the operations of the Institutional Research and Analysis office. The position will develop, implement, and manage information systems to provide data for institutional planning and assessment. Additionally, the position will work cooperatively with various university constituencies to optimize the quality, availability, and flow of relevant data and information throughout the university; provides leadership in the development and maintenance of accessible, relational databases which can be used at all levels university-wide. The position also will assist the institution in identifying and understanding emerging internal and external issues and significant environmental changes, constituting both opportunities and challenges to the university, supports and integrates university planning efforts at all levels with institutional research, policy analysis, and outcomes assessments.

Coordinator of the First Year Experience (Full-time)

Coordinator of Purposeful Lives Initiative (Full-time)

As Schreiner University launches a new vision for co-curricular student learning, we invite applications for a full-time, 12 month position of Coordinator of the Purposeful Lives Initiative. The purpose of the Purposeful Lives Initiative is to provide students at least one opportunity—and perhaps more—to have an authentic civic engagement experience that will help them apply knowledge learned in the classrooms and major programs of study to the world beyond the classroom. The Coordinator will create experiences that lead Schreiner graduates to have the skills, knowledge, habits of mind, and dispositions to be successful, contributing citizens within the variety of communities in which they will find themselves after graduation. This new position will assist the University in conceptualizing, developing, implementing, recruiting, and assessing the Purposeful Lives Initiative. Working closely with Campus Ministry, various community organizations, our local community, and academic program leaders, the Coordinator will provided support for students to experience the ways in which their involvement in community-based work equips them for leading active lives as citizens. Coordinator of Changing, Global Society Initiative (Full-time)
As Schreiner University launches a new vision for co-curricular student learning, we invite applications for a full-time, 12 month position of Coordinator of the Changing, Global Society Initiative. The purpose of the Changing Global Society Initiative is to develop, promote, and foster opportunities for global and intercultural engagement for students, faculty, and staff, encompassing both study away experiences at national or international locations as well as on-campus experiences. The Coordinator will play a central role in providing our students with a transformational educational experience as we fulfill our goal of nurturing all Schreiner students in understanding that the world they live in is fundamentally local AND global. This new position will assist the University in conceptualizing, developing, implementing, recruiting, and assessing the Changing Global Society Initiative. Working closely with our Global Scholars Living and Learning Community and academic program leaders, the Coordinator will provide support for students in semester abroad programs, semester away programs, and embedded programs that permit students to participate in travel programs associated with individual courses. Learning Support Services Program Aide (Part Time) 
Schreiner University accepts employment applications on a continual basis for program aides. This position is an "on call/as needed" basis, with at least a 48 hour notice. Hours worked may range from a minimum of one hour to a full eight hour day based on need. Hours are not guaranteed and peak scheduling is during Finals. Program aides may be responsible for assisting with alternative testing as a monitor, reader or scribe ... details
