Director of Communications
The Director of Communications implements the University’s brand strategy for internal and external audiences by clearly communicating the objectives, target audiences, key messages, and processes to the marketing staff and to campus clients.

Through a creative and strategic approach, the Director of Communications is responsible for guiding the execution of a variety of institutional marketing initiatives—brochures, ads, direct mail, etc.—and collaborating with the Director of New Media on website and digital communications, while supervising budgets, production timelines, analytics, and reporting. HSI-STEM Grant Project Director (Full-time)

The School of Sciences and Mathematics at Schreiner University welcomes applications for the position of HSI-STEM Project Director.  This is a full-time position available immediately.  Working under the direction of the Dean of Sciences and Mathematics, this position provides strategic and transformational leadership in promoting the success of Hispanic STEM students and achieving the University’s learning goals, the University’s Strategic Plan, and the University’s HSI-STEM grant goals and objectives.  The Project Director will collaborate with offices across campus, manage the operations of the grant, maintain compliance with federal regulations and guidelines, and ensure proper budgeting and reporting of grant activities.  The successful candidate will have project management experience, knowledge of current and emerging STEM best-practices, demonstrated appreciation and advocacy for diversity, and excellent oral and written communication skills.  The successful candidate may teach in an appropriate course on an occasional basis. 

Qualifications:  An earned doctorate in a STEM field (preferred), ABD with completion no later than August 2017, or master’s degree.  Teaching experience at the collegiate level and grant management experience are preferred.

 HSI STEM Grant Institutional Research Associate

Collects, develops, analyzes and communicates institutional data and other information to constituents throughout the university. In collaboration with the Director, comply with all reporting obligations and support informed decision-making, problem solving, strategic planning, policy development, and institutional self-assessment.  Performs applied research, and designs, executes, and evaluates analytical and statistical studies and/or institutional self-assessments.  Designs and manages information systems and databases to support institutional research activities. details...

 HSI STEM Grant Administrative Specialist

Under the direction of the HIS-STEM Project Director, the HIS-STEM Administrative Specialist is responsible for administering, coordinating, and performing the routine professional functions necessary to grant program operations and for serving as principal assistant in administrative matters; this position does related work as required. The Administrative Specialist must exercise good judgement in decision making and be willing to take initiative. The position will manage the budgets for grant and coordinate the calendar for the Director, prepare materials for meetings, assist with local and federal report submissions and assist other grant project leaders as needed. The Administrative Specialist will also maintain official minutes for all HIS-STEM Steering Committee meetings, minutes of related activities, and maintain all program records.  Financial Aid Counselor (Full Time)                                                                                               Counsel students and their families regarding the financial aid process; determine aid eligibility and awards funding; manage the Federal Family Education Loan Programs; manage the Student Sponsorship and donor matching programs; assist in the development of institutional application and information materials; and provide technical and clerical assistance in administrative matters to support the Assistant Director of Financial Aid in carrying out the responsibilities of the department.  Also assist with University recruitment and admission efforts as assigned by Dean of Admission and Financial Aid.   details...
