Head Track Coach Men Women (Full-Time)                                                                             Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Track Coach must provide strategic leadership for the track program while supporting the wider mission and goals of the University. The Coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching the team including recruiting, fitness training, practice, competition and travel. The Coach will advocate for the importance of a track team within the campus community, as well as the larger Kerrville community, and will serve as a role model of the high standards expected of our students. A successful candidate will have experience recruiting students, as well as cultivating friends of the various programs in an effort to meet enrollment and fundraising goals. Groundskeeper 1 (Full- Time)

  • Maintains the appearance of grounds
    •   Mows and trims grass.  Trims, waters, removes and plants trees and shrubs.     Controls the advent of ant beds.
    •   Cares for lawns, shrubbery, trees and flowerbeds using standard tools and equipment.
    •    Removes dirt, rubbish and refuse from grounds.
  • Drives trucks and hauls materials, supplies, and dirt and/or office furniture.
  • Works special events, i.e. parking, loading, etc. – may include weekends and overtime.
  • Maintains and cares for grounds keeping tools, supplies and ground equipment.  
  • Performs various gardening activities.  
  • Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.  
  • May assist in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, auto repair and maintenance.
  • May perform vehicle oil changes, lubes, inspections, cleaning and washing.
  • Must be able to perform on call duties.
  • May repair, stripe, and/or perform preventative maintenance on parking lots, roads and sidewalks within the grounds.
  • May perform custodial work, assisting in cleaning buildings and moving furniture.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

•Completion of high school is generally preferred.  Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
•Experience in grounds keeping and maintenance work.
•Required to possess a valid Class C Drivers License issued by the State of Texas, and proof of insurance.
•Ability to perform on call duties.
•Knowledge of the planting and care of trees, shrubbery, flowers, and grass.
•Skill in the use of grounds keeping hand tools and equipment.
•Skill in the operation of motorized and gas operated equipment such as tractors, mowers, edgers, chain saws, hedge trimmers, self-propelled sweeper/vacuums, and paint striping machines.
•Skill in the repair and maintenance of parking lots.
•Ability to maintain and care for hand and power tools and equipment used in grounds keeping and gardening.


Admission Counselor (Full-Time)                                                                                                          The Admission Counselor's primary task is to generate inquiries, applications, interviews, campus visits and commitment fees for all student populations in assigned market area(s). Additional responsibilities include developing leads, attaining goals for market area(s), meeting with parents and students on or off campus, visiting feeder high schools and community colleges, and attending college day/night programs. Telecounseling is required to develop leads during the recruiting season and peak periods. The Admission Counselor communicates the features and benefits of attending a four-year liberal arts university and demonstrates how financial aid creates access to such an education. details...


Coordinator of Mariachi Program (Full-Time)                                                                                Reporting to the Director of Varsity Programs, the Coordinator must provide strategic leadership for the Mariachi program while supporting the wider mission and goals of the University. The Mariachi program coordinator will work alongside the music department to ensure a seamless and quality university program.  The Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the Mariachi program including recruiting, practice, supervision and coaching at events and competitions, and regular meetings with the Mariachi program members. The Coordinator will advocate for the importance of a mariachi program within the campus community, as well as the larger Kerrville community, and will serve as a role model of the high standards expected of our students. Associate Director of Campus Security & Safety (Full-Time)                                                        This is an associate department head position which involves supervision and management of the overall operation of the Security Department and relation with outside officials, organizations, the student body, faculty, and staff, relating to security enforcement and crime prevention. Reporting to Director of Campus Operations, the Associate Director manages and has direct oversight of the day-to-day security and public safety operations; implements and enforces all established security and safety policies and procedures at Schreiner University. Implements and enforces all established safety and security policies and procedures; Administers a comprehensive program for crime prevention and security enforcement which assures that maximum levels of protection are provided to students and that the peace and safety of the campus is maintained. Director of Communications (Full- Time)
The Director of Communications implements the University’s brand strategy for internal and external audiences by clearly communicating the objectives, target audiences, key messages, and processes to the marketing staff and to campus clients.

Through a creative and strategic approach, the Director of Communications is responsible for guiding the execution of a variety of institutional marketing initiatives—brochures, ads, direct mail, etc.—and collaborating with the Director of New Media on website and digital communications, while supervising budgets, production timelines, analytics, and reporting. Student Success Coach (Part Time, Temporary)                                                                   Schreiner University’s student success coaches are a cornerstone of our student success initiatives. The Student Success Coach will be primarily responsible for supporting undergraduates’ academic success and student engagement via one to one academic and non-academic coaching, meetings, academic skills/engagement programs and workshops, and developing print and web-based materials. Coaching empowers students to achieve a sustainable shift in thinking and performance that motivates them through the discovery of their strengths, values and passions. Coaches meet with students to assist in the organization and planning of academic, personal, social, and professional commitments and to provide support for accomplishing short- and long-term goals associated with those commitments, leading to academic success. The Student Success Coach will assist the Center for Qualitative Learning (CQL) Coordinator in planning and coordinating interactive and dynamic academic support programs for all STEM students and other student cohorts (e.g. STEM LLC, transfer students, students on academic probation), facilitate their delivery, and collect data to assess and measure their success. This position includes working with diverse groups of students and staff and therefore a demonstrated commitment to diversity and student success is critical. Facilitator must be able to respond effectively to multiple and changing priorities; they collaborate with staff/faculty across campus and colleagues outside the institution to promote best practices in the academic environments.
