Director of Development (Full Time) The Director of Development is the lead fund raising officer responsible for the planning, implementation, management and oversight of all fund raising including, but not limited to: annual fund, campaign organization, major gifts, foundation relations, and government programs. While reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, the Director of Development supervises other fund raising officers and works collaboratively with the staff members on the advancement team and with university faculty and staff. The director’s primary responsibility will be prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and proper stewardship of donors. Coordinator of Multicultural Programs and Changing Global Society (Full time) The Coordinator of Multicultural Programs and Coordinator of the Changing Global Society will play a central role in providing our students with a transformational educational experience. In 2013 Schreiner University launched a new vision for co-curricular student learning centered on our University Mission. The purpose of this initiative is to develop, promote, and foster opportunities for global and intercultural engagement for students, faculty, and staff, encompassing both study away experiences at national or international locations as well as campus experiences. All Schreiner students shall understand that the world they live in is fundamentally local AND global. The Coordinator will create experiences that lead Schreiner graduates to have the skills, knowledge, habits of mind, and dispositions to be successful in both these local and global environments.
This position will assist the University in conceptualizing, developing, implementing, recruiting, and assessing the Changing Global Society Initiative. The position oversees our Global Scholars Living and Learning Community, our study abroad/away programs, and will coordinator with academic program leaders on a number of multicultural programs and events. The Coordinator will provide support for students in semester abroad programs, semester away programs, and embedded programs that permit students to participate in travel programs associated with individual courses. The Coordinator will also assist with retention efforts by serving as a freshman advisor.
