Controller/Director of Accounting Services (Full Time)
Schreiner University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Controller.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the university's accounting and related functions. The Controller will be expected to continually look for ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting Services staff, by implementing best practices and positive change. The Controller works under the direction of the Vice President for Administration and Finance, and is a strategic partner in the production of standard and ad-hoc financial reports and presentations to provide management timely information on financial data. A comprehensive understanding of higher education, accounting knowledge, and strong communication skills are essential. This position is responsible for providing support to the Dean of Students and the Associate Dean of Students in day-to-day operations of the Division.  Under the umbrella of Student Services are the following departments for which this administrative assistant also provides support:  Student Activities, Leadership, Campus Recreation/Fitness, Counseling, Residence Life, Changing Global Society and First Year Experience.
