Mission Statement

This unit supports Schreiner’s primary stakeholders by providing comprehensive and reliable information related to faculty development, student learning and supporting units across campus.

What are Schreiner University Student Outcomes?

Institutional Effectiveness is an ongoing, campus-wide process by which Schreiner University determines the extent to which it is achieving its goals and students are achieving set outcomes. Institutional Outcomes are levels of accomplishment that Schreiner University students are expected to have attained before their graduation.

In 2011, Schreiner University began the process of evaluating the current Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Value Statement as part of revising Institutional Goals. A work group, comprised of members of faculty and non-academic staff, began to write Institutional Outcomes. Upon completion of the first draft of the Institutional Outcomes, feedback from all faculty members and non-academic staff was solicited. Upon further revision, based on this feedback, the Institutional Outcomes were sent to the administration and the Board of Trustees for further revision and final approval. Final revisions were completed and final approval was given to the Institutional Outcomes in the Fall of 2012.

The Institutional Outcomes that follow depict the result of a year-long process and the work of the entire Schreiner University community.

  • Analytical Abilities
  • Communication
  • Global Perspective
  • Personal and Social Responsibility
  • Community and Professional Engagement
  • Use of Skills and Resources
