Greetings and welcome
to the Schreiner University website. Reflecting the
rapid pace of the digital age, this site is
continuously evolving. It is our intention, however,
to adhere to certain basics amid all of the change:
we want to provide you with a site that is
attractive, informative and easily navigable.
Whatever your purpose in coming to www.schreiner.edu,
whether to learn more about a college you recently
heard about, to look up the baseball schedule, to
answer questions about financial aid, or to review
the Monday Night Fiction schedule, we look to give
you the answers you need promptly. If you have
thoughts on the website that you wish to share, feel
free to do so to me at
tsummerlin@schreiner.edu.
Several years ago, we adopted the motto "learning by
heart" because we felt that it captured the
institution’s heritage as a place where faculty
threw themselves fully into instruction, where
students were respected as complex human beings and
where relationships were at the heart of the
learning process. As time passes, the values
suggested by that phrase seem only more relevant.
But creating a learning environment in the
twenty-first century requires comfort with the
revolution created by the information age. That is
why you will find engagement and interactive
learning vigorously present in our programs too. |

This site is designed to help you get where you need
to be and to learn what you want to learn quickly.
Get the facts on
how to apply to Schreiner and access sources of
financial aid.
Schedule a visit. Meet some of our current
students and faculty and learn how to get around the
campus. Check the latest stories or upcoming
athletic and cultural events. Find out the
e-mail address of your old roommate. Research
the
academic program that interests you and contact
a faculty member to learn more. Get better
acquainted with the institution to which you are
considering sending a
job application. And, not least,
make a donation to an institution whose work you
truly believe in! We are always delighted to hear
from you. I hope that what you see on the web will
prompt you to come visit us in person, whether you
are a prospective student or an alumnus who cannot
believe how much the place has changed. Yes, it has,
and, we hope, always for the better. |
