Charles Torti is a proven leader with 34 years experience in organizing, planning, problem solving, human resources, team structures, and financial cost models. In 2001, he retired from SBC Communications, Inc., and returned to teaching. Dr. Torti grew up in a family of small businesses and has successfully launched and managed two small businesses: Great American Car Wash and an independent insurance agency. He is experienced in developing winning business plans and finding sources of financing. Dr. Torti serves as the Chair of the Business Department and is the Ethics Team Sponsor & Coach.

Charles routinely plays tennis and is a life member of the United States Tennis Association. His motivation for playing the game is exercise. He believes physical fitness positively impacts his attitude, mental alertness and emotional stability, which is why he always looks forward to the next workout. Dr. Torti's other interests include fly-fishing, MG car club, Texas country music, and astronomy. Charles and his wife Carrie live in Kerrville and enjoy the Hill Country community.
