Dr. Taylor-Backor is the founder and coordinator of the Schreiner University Reading & Writing Academy. She was the recipient of the Arthur Blumberg Scholar Award for her research on Instructional Leadership and Principal Preparation Programs. Dr. Taylor-Backor continues her research in the area of Instructional Supervision. Her latest article, “Preparing Principals as Instructional Leaders: Perceptions of University Faculty, Expert Principals, and Expert Teacher Leaders” can be found in the NASSP Bulletin, 99, 105-126. Dr. Backor was also elected to the Council of Professors of Instructional Supervision .
