Hill Country Art Survey
OPEN TO TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Schreiner University, located in Kerrville, Texas is inviting interested students to submit entries to the Thirteenth Annual Hill Country Art Survey. This is a juried exhibition seeking to showcase the creative expression of Texas high school students.

NEW: Three-Dimensional work, not to exceed 20" in any one direction

First in Category: $100 each
Second in Category: $50 each
Third in Category: $25 each
Sunday, December 1, 2013. Awards will be presented at the reception to honor the participants of the exhibition. The reception is open to the pubic and will be held in the Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Student Activities Center’s Gallery from 3pm-5pm. Awards at 4PM.
There is NO entry fee but the successful entrants will be responsible for delivery and pick-up of their artwork.
Entrants are limited to 3 entries. Submissions for consideration in the show will be by email. Email images as Jpg or PDF files to firstname.lastname@example.org. Jpg images should be saved at a quality level of seven. Each email may not exceed 4MB so you may need to send images separately. All entrants should include a phone number, address, and email address to aid in notification of acceptance into the exhibition.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Deadline Thursday, November 8
Entries must be received by email by 5 pm on Thursday, November 15, 2013. Successful entrants will be notified by Tuesday, November 19. Work must be delivered to the Schreiner University Student Activity Center on Sunday, November 24, between 2 and 3 pm. All work must be matted, mounted on foamcore, or framed and ready to hang. Framed works require a hanging wire. Work is to be picked up Sunday, January 19, from 2 to 3 pm at the Cailloux Student Activity Center.
The Art Department is offering several scholarships to join Schreiner University’s Communication Design signature program. Portfolio review is open to senior high school students and is conducted by the Art faculty of Schreiner University. To compete for these scholarships, students must register with Professor Deborah Conner by email, email@example.com or call 830-792-7397. Those registered should bring sketchbooks and their portfolio of work the day of the Hill Country Art Survey opening. The portfolio review will begin at noon and run till 3 PM.
