Rio Grande Valley and El Paso high school graduates are invited to find their way to Schreiner University via its First Year Campuses in Mission, Brownsville and El Paso.
As Schreiner freshmen, students have the opportunity to complete their first year at the one of the nearby campuses, and enter their sophomore year DEBT FREE at the main Kerrville, TX campus. We will support your transition to the main campus with a full financial aid package for your Sophomore year and beyond that includes up to $17,000 of scholarships per year, up to $11,000 of grants per year, and other financial support that will enable you to graduate from Schreiner University in four years!

Cost for the First Year Campuses freshman year includes a 30 college credit hours, books, tuition, fees, travel to the main campus, financial workshops, and a laptop:
*Total cost to attend main campus freshman year: $39,966 (includes tuition, books, room & board.)
Courses are taught by Schreiner’s highly regarded faculty, both face-to-face and online. Each of the three campuses is limited to no more than 25 students and has its own Director on site.
Schreiner First Year Campuses students have the flexibility of living at home while completing their courses in preparation for transition to Schreiner University. Each cohort will visit the main campus to attend events and engage in various exciting projects.
Support for both students and their families to ensure a successful sophomore transition to Schreiner University’s main campus in Kerrville, Texas.
Beginning sophomore year, the First Year Campuses cohorts will become eligible for financial support through Schreiner’s scholarships and competitive financial aid packages.
For 3.0 GPA and above = $17,000 FYC Scholarship (renewable for 3 years).
For 2.9 GPA and below = $15,000 FYC Scholarship (renewable for 3 years).
Students who qualify are also eligible for $11,000 in state and federal grants and work study opportunities. First Year Campuses participants will be encouraged to apply for outside scholarships before taking out student loans. Schreiner’s Financial Aid counselors are happy to assist.
