Faculty Profile
Dr. Carole D. Errett, as of August 2004, became the Director of the Teacher Education Department and a faculty member teaching undergraduate and graduate Education courses.
Dr. Errett moved to Kerrville at the end of July 2004 with her Yorkshire Terrier, Snickers (pictured above). Previously she was at Cedar Valley College, Dallas County Community College District, where she began her higher education career in 1988. For the last six months, Dr. Errett has been working as a post-doctoral administrative intern for the Dean of Business, Vocational and Technical Careers at Cedar Valley College and teaching for the Upward Bound program while there.
Dr. Errett received her doctoral degree in December, 2003, at the University of Texas at Austin in Higher Education Administration with specialization in the Community College Leadership Program under the renown Drs. John and Suanne Roueche.
Preceding her doctoral program, Dr. Errett worked for Austin Community College as the Director of Customized Training and Community Services and in the Dallas Community College District in Continuing Education and Customized Training.
Dr. Errett has 15 years of cumulative teaching experience and her Teaching Certificate from the state of Texas. Her love is Texas History for middle school students, but she has also taught pre-school through college-age classes.
Dr. Errett has two grown children, a son and daughter-in-law who are both teachers and a daughter who is a junior pre-law major at the University of Texas at Austin---yes, she bleeds orange! In addition to her Yorkshire Terrier, the love of her life is her granddaughter, Wren, born May 5, 2004.
