At SU I get to be a part of a family of friends that enjoying hanging out and playing games as much as they enjoy going to class. I get to be surrounded by professors who care about my grades and the life lessons I learn both inside and outside of their classrooms. I like SU because I get to actively participate in my own education – I’m only limited by what I choose to do or what organizations I want to be a part of. SU affords me the opportunity to meet numerous people that have helped me through life that I wouldn’t have been able to meet anywhere else. I don’t just like SU, I love SU. Other things I am involved in: I like camping, hiking, rock climbing, playing computer games, eating pizza and playing board games with friends on Family Game Night, helping students with homework, and going to the theater/ballet. Graduating from a private school, where my graduating class was 4 people, and then going to a State school for the first couple of years of my college years with their big classes was too much for me. I did not get a connection with my professors and even the peers in my classroom. Here at Schreiner, I was able to make a deeper connection with my peers and with professors that care to see me succeed.
