RECALL 2016 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday, April 22 - Sunday, April 24, 2016
**Friday, April 22**
9 a.m.–7 p.m., Register: Pick up RECALL 2016 packets and name badges in lobby of the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center (CCAC).
10 a.m.–5 p.m., Hill Country Tour starts with James Avery Craftsman campus, including their new visitor center with time for browsing or shopping in their retail center. Next, enjoy a Dutch treat lunch at Café on the Ridge and visit their garden and nursery areas. After lunch, we will tour Kerrville’s Museum of Western Art, viewing their impressive collection. Meet in the CCAC lobby at 9:45 a.m. for departure at 10 a.m. (FYI: We will provide transportation and there is no charge for the tours.)
1:15–6:30 p.m., Annual Randy Shepler (SI ’54) Alumni Golf Tournament at Riverhill Country Club: Scramble Format. Individual Green Fee is $125; for Recent SU grads (2011‒15), green fee is $75. Shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Prizes for first four places, longest drive and closest to the pin. (Proceeds go to the SFSA Endowed Scholarship Fund.) Note: If you want to participate in the golf tournament only and no other Recall activities, click here .
5‒7 p.m., Admissions barbeque with potential fall 2016 freshmen students and their parents. Alumni are welcomed and encouraged to attend this event to meet potential students, their parents and Schreiner University Admissions Staff. No Charge for this event hosted by the Admissions staff and located on the front lawn of CCAC.
7–9 p.m., Welcome Back Reception. Welcoming back All Schreiner alumni, including a special team reunion of the 1969/70 High School basketball team who played under Coach Bill Campion (a former ball player for Schreiner himself), various student groups, current and former athletes, staff and faculty. During this event, Bill Thompson SI ’51 and Sam “Bubba” May SI ’52 will be remembered for the part they played in the success of this event each year. (Hors d'oeuvres, beverages, cash bar) CCAC, 2nd floor, Ballroom #2.
7 p.m., Schreiner’s Got Talent, sponsored by Schreiner University’s Student Senate, invites alumni to participate with students showcasing many different talents of students and alumni. Dietert Auditorium
9 p.m., Alumni Reunite at the Y.O. All ages of alumni and former students gather in the lobby or in the Elm Waterhole Saloon at the Y.O. Ranch Hotel.
**Saturday, April 23**
7:30 a.m.–1 p.m., Registration and pickup of Recall weekend packets continues in the lobby of the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center (CCAC).
8‒9:30 a.m., Military Tribute Breakfast honors all Schreiner former students who have served or are serving our country in the armed forces. CCAC Ballroom 2.
9:45 to 10:30 a.m., Golden and Silver Grads Reception: Honoring our Golden grads of ‘66 and Silver Grads of ‘91 with a special reception. River Room, CCAC 1st Floor.
10:30 a.m., Seniors Ring Ceremony, on the Quad at the Schreiner Seal
11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., Family Picnic It is always a great time for relaxing, reconnecting with old friends and making new ones while enjoying good food. Join us in the Schreiner Diner with additional seating on the Commons between the Schreiner Diner and the Cailloux Campus Activity Center.
Noon–1 p.m., Class and Group photos will be taken immediately following the picnic in the Commons outside the Schreiner Diner. We will be roving inside and outside the Schreiner Diner with signage announcing your time.
1:30–2 p.m., Annual Business Meeting of Schreiner Former Students Association. CCAC 1st Floor River Room
Noon–3 p.m., Wine Tasting Event presented by Hill Country Wineries in the Commons between Schreiner Diner and CCAC.
1–3 p.m., Dorm, Mountaineer Fitness Center, and Event Center Visits.
4–6 p.m. Art Exhibit Featuring alumni artist Ben Davis ’10, BA in Creative Arts. Ben’s work investigates the social experience of architecture by documenting the historic structures that have accommodated cultural rituals for over 150 years in Texas. He uses traditional photographic methods as well as contemporary digital technology. You will not want to miss this unique show. Light hors d’oeuvres served. CCAC 2nd floor, Gallery/Atrium Area.
6 p.m. Tribute to Schreiner Legends Banquet: Schreiner University will recognize Athletic Hall of Honor inductees Felicia Delgado, ’04 and Albert B. “Monk” Keith, former golf coach 1966-1983 (posthumously). The Distinguished Alumnus recipient is Marvin Singleton ’60. Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center (CCAC) 2nd floor ballrooms.
8—11 p.m. CASINO Night sponsored by the Schreiner University’s Student Activities Board. Location first floor of CCAC including The Lion’s Den, River Room, and the Lobby Area.
**Sunday, April 24**
8:45 a.m., Bird Watching at the Reston Property
Meet at The Commons in front of the Cailloux Campus Activity Center. Bring binoculars and bird guide if you have them. Dr. Chris Distel, Professor of Biology, will be your guide. Please RSVP to Susan Carver at firstname.lastname@example.org.
10 a.m., RECALL Worship Service for current students, staff and alumni in the Welcome Center Chapel.
11 a.m., Farewell Brunch at the Schreiner Diner. Say goodbye to old friends— and new ones you’ll make at Recall 2016. Dutch treat.
Library & Bookstore Hours
During Recall Weekend, William Logan Library and the Schreiner University Bookstore will open during the following hours:
William Logan Library: Friday—8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday—noon to 5 p.m.
Bookstore: Friday—8 a.m -7 p.m. and Saturday—9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
