Commitment Fee: If a student accepts Schreiner's offer of admission, the student pays an admission commitment fee, which serves as serious intent to enroll and is, therefore, non-refundable. The commitment fee for full-time
and part-time students is $100. This fee reserves classroom space and, in the case of residential students, the date it is received in the Office of Admission determines priority in making the housing assignment. At the time of registration, the commitment fee is credited towards the student's account.
Damage Deposit: A damage deposit is used to satisfy charges for loss or damage
(including unusual cleaning costs) to any University property for which the student is responsible.
In the event of such charges, the student must restore the deposit before June 15 of each year. Deposits will be applied to any outstanding balance after the student has completed the official withdrawal process from the university. Deposits less any damage charges will be refunded upon written request from the student within 60 days of the last date of enrollment. Forfeited damage deposits will become the property of Schreiner University.
