Mr. Samuel Robinson was an active lay person in the Presbyterian Church who established an endowment to encourage college students to study and memorize the historic "Westminster Shorter Catechism."
 This award is open to any junior or senior student enrolled full-time at a Presbyterian College (USA).
Applicants must:
 Successfully recite the 107 answers to the Westminster Shorter Catechism
Write a 2,000 word original essay on a related assigned topic
The deadline for completion and submission of the assignment is April 1st of each year. While competitive, there can be multiple winners of the award.
