favorite
food: Do you mean BESIDES chocolate and confectionery in
general? As in real food? Steak, Fried Chicken, Grilled Lobster,
all the stuff I'm supposed to eat in moderation (that's why it's
a Favorite!)
< Diana with her husband Tony <
favorite vacation spot: One place
is a secret because it is still pretty unspoiled, so I won't tell
you that one other than it involves camping. Two more are Paris
(everyone should go to Paris before they die) and New Zealand (a
green like you've never seen). But talk to me after I go to Cancun
this summer. |

|
Who/what/where
INSPIRES you & why? The questioning mind. To have a student
who makes me stop and think with a question I've never been asked
before is just so much fun. I got into science in the first place
because I love figuring things out. I really love it when students
make me do that every day. |

|
|
favorite movie/s:
Gone With the Wind
(To "SOH it", means to wait, because "Tomorra is
another day")
favorite type of music: Texas music
(Robert Earl Keen, Jr, etc)

and small, is evident in her early years >
what's on your night-stand right now?
The Last Templar by Michael Jecks. I'm on a medieval kick right
now. It started with The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, where I became
interested in the secret societies associated with the early Christian
church, then continued with Angels and Demons, also by Dan Brown,
and now I'm reading this mystery series where one of the main characters
is a Templar Knight. (If you don't know what that is, start with
The Da Vinci Code...) |

hobbies/interests/extra-curricular
activities OUTSIDE SU:
I do a lot of stuff with children's
ministries at my church in Boerne (people who know me as a professor
think my antics as a Vacation Bible School Director are quite humorous),
and I am very involved in scouting with my sons. My youngest son
and I still want to raise chickens if we can ever get the coop built.
< Diana spending time with giant sea turtles in Australia <
activities/interests/associations ON CAMPUS:
Through my dean position, I serve on lots of committees and
so I have the opportunity to feel like I am helping to bring about
some exciting changes |
|
|
favorite
class to teach @ SU & why: Ok, if you make me choose ... Human
Anatomy and Physiology because I love the complexity of how the
systems interrelate. But in my Behavior class I get to tell more
stories.
> Diana "down under" with the
giant sea turtles >
why (do you like) Schreiner? Because
the students are smart and fun to work with, because the faculty
are the best I've seen and because I can keep learning from both
groups. |
