Dear Schreiner
Parents:
Due to the variable and unpredictable financial climate in which
lending institutions now find themselves, our PWP lender has
withdrawn from the program. Unfortunately, we have been unable to
find another lender willing to participate in the program. Although
we have no control in this matter, we sincerely regret that our
Partnership with Parents (PWP) subsidized loan program will no
longer be available.
For this year only (2008-09 academic year), Schreiner will provide
to parents with new PLUS loans a partnership grant equal to the
estimated interest on their loans. After this year, however, the PWP
program will be unavailable to new applicants. If you have prior
year loans through the PWP program, we are currently still making
interest equal payments to the lender on your behalf.
Federal Parent PLUS loans are still available through lending
institutions, some of which are listed on our Web site at
www.schreiner.edu/financial_aid/loans.html.
