Current Students: Freshmen Merit Scholarhips

2012-2013

The scholarships below are available to first-time, full-time freshmen for the 2012-2013 academic year. These scholarships are awarded when students are accepted to Schreiner University. A separate scholarship application is not required. Merit scholarships are agreements between the student and Schreiner University and are good for 4 years consecutively. We expect our students to graduate in four (4) years.

NOTE: Either SAT or ACT scores are accepted. The admission staff recalculate all high school GPA’s from official transcripts in order to standardize all GPA’s to a 4.0 scale.

Schreiner puts some of our own money in merit based funds, but also in need based aid and performance based aid. In this way, we insure that every student has the capability of receiving some form of “free money” to help pay for their education.

Finally, we offer an Outside Scholarship Program where our Financial Aid office actively works with students on applying for outside scholarships. Before you are an active Schreiner student, there are a couple of ways for you to get this information. You can befriend us on Facebook and receive those notifications as soon as the current students do, or you can watch for our group emails to come out.

All Scholarships and Grants are listed and explained on the FAQs page.

The Net Price Calculator will let you calculate your estimated net price cost of a Schreiner University.

The Office of Financial Aid at Schreiner University is committed to assisting students in obtaining the best financial aid award possible. However, it is the student’s responsibility to comply with all requirements necessary to complete the financial aid process. In addition, the Office of Financial Aid is not responsible for the student's financial obligations to Schreiner University. Each student must verify their account balance and make arrangements for any amounts not covered by financial aid.
