Grants and Scholarships
Grants and scholarships, commonly referred to as “gift aid” is free money that can be used to help pay expenses for your education. The money can come from a variety of places – federal or state governments, Schreiner University, or miscellaneous outside sources.
Gift Aid (scholarships and grants) fall into 3 categories – need based, merit based, or performance based.
Schreiner University offers all three versions: merit based aid, need based aid and performance based aid. In this way, we insure that every student has the capability of receiving some form of “free money” to help pay for their education.
In additional to institutional programs, we offer an Outside Scholarship Program where our Financial Aid office actively works with students applying for outside scholarships. See this winning video from the One Scholarship. Before you join us on campus you can obtain this information by “friending” us on Facebook or watching for our email notifications.
All Scholarship and Grant programs are explained on the FAQs page.
We are here to help!
The Office of Financial Aid at Schreiner University is committed to assisting students in obtaining the best financial aid award possible. However, it is the student’s responsibility to comply with all requirements necessary to complete the financial aid process. In addition, the Office of Financial Aid is not responsible for the student's financial obligations to Schreiner University. Each student must verify their account balance and make arrangements for any amounts not covered by financial aid.
