Dear Former
Student,
Hello! My name is Paul Camfield and I am the new Associate
Director for Alumni Relations here at SU. I came on board in
early October and have loved every minute of my time here so
far. My predecessor Alan Boatwright and I have had numerous
visits and I look forward to continuing his work and
direction of this office. I am new to this profession,
having spent the past twelve years in the museum field, with
the past ten as the Executive Director for the Gillespie
County Historical Society in Fredericksburg. During my
tenure there, I spent a great deal of time with special
event planning, fundraising, marketing, community outreach
and public programming.
We are pleased and excited to deliver this first Schreiner
Former Students e-newsletter. We know you are being
bombarded with all kinds of mail at this time of year. We
want to use the speed of the Internet to keep you informed
about news and events going on around the Schreiner campus.
We also would like to ask for your help in finding alumni
whose emails have changed. Our goal is to increase our email
contacts to over 4,000 in the next year (currently 1,300).
If you would forward this email to any of your fellow
Schreiner classmates, maybe we can connect with a few people
we have lost touch with. For your convenience, you will find
a link at the bottom of this newsletter to forward this
e-news to a friend.

SFSA Membership Campaign |
 |
|
It is that time of year either to renew your
membership to SFSA or to join if you have not done
so. As most of you who have been members of this
organization know, we strive to make membership in
the SFSA as beneficial to you as possible. Whether
it is the alumni networking opportunities, free use
of some Schreiner campus facilities, or discounts at
the University bookstore, local area motels and car
rentals, we hope you will support this organization
and Schreiner University. In addition to this email,
you will also be receiving a letter in the mail in
the next few days with an SFSA membership
application. For additional details or to
apply/renew online, visit the
online membership page of the SFSA website.
We appreciate your support and look forward to
hearing from you. If you have any questions about
your membership status please
email Susan Carver.

Recall Weekend 2007 |
 |
|
Mark your calendars for April 20-22, 2007 when the
Schreiner campus opens its arms to all former
students for a weekend of laughter, tears, hugs,
golf, music, roulette, great food and fellowship.
The working theme for Recall 2007 will be “Music
through the Years.” As we finalize the details we
will keep you informed via the
Recall website, the e-newsletter and by mail.
One exciting change for next year will be the
location of the 22nd Annual Randy Shepler Golf
Tournament. Riverhill Country Club has gladly agreed
to host the event and we anticipate a large field.
What you can do for us is to contact your fellow
classmates and encourage them to participate. We are
now beginning to sign up the tournament and hole
sponsors. To find out more about the golf course,
visit the
Riverhill Country Club website.
