Hill Country College Fund (HCCF)

Opening Doors to the Future!

Many challenges confront higher education in general, and the challenges for Schreiner University students are no different. Cost and access are two notable difficulties that we can overcome together by supporting the Hill Country College Fund. The goal is to raise $600,000—and your participation opens a door to the future.

You can help...
- Make our community a better place to live.
- Share your good fortune as others may have supported you.
- Volunteer by helping those students in need.

100% of the money raised goes directly to grants for needbased students in Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, and Real Counties.

Sarah Carlyle

As a transfer student, Sarah admitted that the larger Austin school she attended as a first semester freshman was “too much, too soon”. An accounting major with a perfect grade point average, this Bandera County student found the perfect fit and thrives at Schreiner. Sarah really appreciates the 13 to 1 student-teacher ratio and the unique approach of applying strong ethical values to business studies in the Integrity Ambassadors in Business Program.  With the Hill Country College Fund, Sarah found her school and, as a future accountant, plans to use the ethical business practices that she is learning here.

David Garcia

David Garcia says choosing Schreiner was the best decision he has ever made. When an athletic injury derailed his plans to attend college on a football scholarship, David had serious assessment to do. He came to the conclusion that Schreiner could still help him fulfill his life’s dream—becoming an educator with an emphasis on proper athletic training. With the help of the HCCF, David received his needed financial aid and commutes from Boerne for classes. In 2014, he will earn his exercise science degree. The doors to David’s future are wide open!

Noel Way
Non-traditional student Noel, a Kerr County native, is a shining example of the Hill Country College Fund serving our community. She is eager for the opportunity to give back to the community that is so generously supporting her goal to earn a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. We may find her one day behind the door in a doctor’s office or a hospital room comforting the sick. Wherever her nursing career takes her, we know Noel will be a gracious example of citizenship and professionalism.

Schreiner welcomes all gifts of all sizes!
