HCCF helps more than 250 Hill Country students annually. Residents of Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble and Real counties are eligible. Awards are based on need.  HCCF often makes the difference between going to college, or not.  More than $9 million in assistance has been given to Hill Country students since 1977.

Each year more than 50 volunteers give their time, energy and spirit seeking donations from friends and neighbors.  100% of the money raised is used for Hill Country student grants.  Schreiner University relies heavily on individual generosity because we are an independent, church-affiliated university, not supported by tax dollars.  Hundreds of individuals, families and businesses believe in and support the Fund’s mission. Many HCCF-supported Schreiner graduates stay in the Hill Country to raise families and serve their community.
