“After taking a four-year hiatus from The
University of Texas at Austin and Texas
State University in San Marcos, I decided it
was time to get back into school. My parents
were living in Kerrville at the time, so I
decided to take a look at Schreiner
University. I am currently a senior majoring
in business marketing, and just made the
President’s List and received an achievement
award in Spanish. After SU I plan on working
at BMW. I would like to be a sales
associate, and BMW requires a college degree
for that position. I know it sounds a little
strange to go to college in order to sell
cars, but I have a passion for cars. The
Hill Country College Fund gave me a second
chance to complete my degree, turning my
hopes of finishing my education into a
reality and allowing me to pursue a career I
enjoy. I am very grateful for that.” |
