Master of Education Applicants must:

  • Hold a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Complete a Graduate Admission Application
  • Send Official transcripts for all graduate and undergraduate work
  • Pay application fee of $25.00
  • Request 3 letters of recommendation from current school administrators and/or professors using our online reference system
  • Meet all technology requirements for online courses
  • Interview in person or by phone with Dr. Neva Cramer, Director of Education and Graduate Studies in Education, nvcramer@schreiner.edu 830-792-7266

The GRE requirement will be waived for those with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale! If you do not qualify for this waiver, set up an interview with Dr. Cramer via email at nvcramer@schreiner.edu. We will discuss your situation and do everything we can to help you attain your academic and career goals in education.

  • Complete a Graduate Admission Application
  • Pay application fee of $25.00
  • Send Official transcripts for all graduate and undergraduate work
  • Have a valid Texas Teacher Certificate
  • Submit 3 letters of recommendation from current school administrators using our online reference system
  • Verification of two years certified teaching experience in an accredited Pre K-12 school
  • Meet all technology requirements for online courses
  • Interview in person or by phone with Dr. Neva Cramer, Director of Education and Graduate Studies in Education, nvcramer@schreiner.edu 830-792-7266

Note 2 : Certification will be recommended following Verification of two years certified teaching experience in an accredited Pre K-12 school.

  • Complete a Graduate Admission Application
  • Pay the Schreiner University application fee of $25.00
  • Send Official transcripts for all graduate and undergraduate work
  • Before acceptance into the program, pass the PACT exam in the desired area of certification
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale in major/field
  • Must be pursuing a teacher certificate in the content/specialization areas presently offered at Schreiner University
  • Must complete a Plan for Certification with the director of Graduate Studies
  • Request 3 letters of recommendation from current school administrators, teachers, and/or professors using our online reference system
  • Meet all technology requirements for online courses
  • Interview in person or by phone with Dr. Neva Cramer, Director of Education and Graduate Studies in Education, nvcramer@schreiner.edu 830-792-7266
  • Complete the Texas state content exam in the area of certification before placement in a student teaching or probationary internship

*Certification cannot be awarded until applicant has completed one year internship as a teacher of record or completed student teaching.



Principal Certification Applicants must:

  • Hold a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Complete a Graduate Admission Application
  • Pay application fee of $25.00.
  • Send Official transcripts for all graduate and undergraduate work.
  • Hold a valid Texas Teacher Certificate
  • Verification of two years certified teaching experience in an accredited Pre K-12 school.
  • Request 3 letters of recommendation from current school administrators using our online reference system
  • Meet all technology requirements for online courses
  • Interview in person or by phone with Dr. Neva Cramer, Director of Education and Graduate Studies in Education, nvcramer@schreiner.edu 830-792-7266

*Note: Coursework may be completed prior to two years teaching experience, but Certification cannot be awarded until applicant has completed two years of certified teaching experience in an accredited Pre-K-12 school.
