I just got back from Bournemouth! It's a cute little town on the coast. I
saw the Jurassic Coast- it was incredibly ridiculous that there is just
random awesome stuff like that just chilling on the coast! I didn't get a
tan on the beach, it was raining like crazy while I was there-but aparently
that is normal. I did go see the grave of Mary Shelley and Thomas Hardy, I'm so lucky!
As soon as anyone finds out I am an American and that I am from Texas, they
want to know who I am voting for. I hate talking politics for small talk,
especially in pubs, dance clubs, and taxis, so I get annoyed very easily.
Everyone here knows more about American Politics than nearly everyone back
home-which is very weird. They have an American section in the news paper
that goes over the basic stuff that is going on in the states-do we even
have a world news section in the Kerrville Daily Times? I do not mind the
extreme interest in American politics, I think its great- I just wish I was
approached at more appropriate times.
There are a few things I think Europeans are really missing out on. Ranch
dressing, for example, would be a great addition. Good Mexican food would
also help them out.
This weekend I am going to Barcelona with one of the girls from the house.
I am really excited about it. Our hostel is on the beach, and we are signed up to take a bicycle tour of the old parts of the city, doesn't that sound
like fun?

Yesterday we went to Blenheim Palace. It was all pretty interesting, but
the really awesome part was that I saw Winston Churchill's birth place. I
also got lost in the world's second largest maze garden; if it was snowing,
I was being chased by a guy with a serious mental disorder, and if I was a
little boy then it would have been very The Shining. Too bad. I also went
into the Secret Garden there, but don't tell anyone, it's a secret-okay?
