Entry #6 |
Well,
I only have 18 more days left here, so I am trying to squeeze in as
much as I can! It is really cold and rainy here all of the time!
Last week I went and saw The Producers and it was hilarious! I loved
it!
My friend from high school, Beth (pictured with me, above) is here
this week and I am showing her around London, which is a lot of fun
because it makes me feel like a tour guide that actually knows stuff
about the city!
Usually
on a corner by the nearest tube station there is a man preaching about
Jesus and he gets very annoying. The other day I was walking by and
I heard a man on a loud speaker, I assumed it was the Jesus guy. Turns
out he was protesting Bush. I know it is generalizing but--they do
that a lot here, it is surprising. They don't like Tony Blair either.
Hmmm.
I
went to Portobello Road and it was not like Bed Knobs and Broomsticks
at all. It was very disappointing. I wanted to see Angela Landsbury,
I did not.
Everywhere I go here I come across a song by the girl-group Girls
Aloud. They are very bad and annoying, and they are stalking me--in
the shops, in
restaurants, on the telly; they are everywhere. |
