Semester At Sea

September 2, 2003:
Hello from the coast of Alaska! Well, I have to say that my dreams of lying
out by the pool in the sun haven't quite come true yet.

We are currently on the coast of Alaska and it is freezing out here! Things are great though. I have met a ton of people, and I am having a blast. My roommate is very cool, and I am trying to keep busy. Shipboard life can get pretty boring.

I did get a little seasick the first couple of days, but I am pretty much over it now. Classes are good, I have two teachers from India and they can be hard to listen to sometimes. I went to the top of the ship last night and watched the sunset with some friends and it was beautiful!

Unfortunately no pictures will be on their way considering I am paying 50 cents a minute for this. Anyway, things are great and we arrive in Japan a
week from tomorrow. On more cool thing I wanted to add is that for the last 3 nights we have gotten to put our clocks back an hour, then we lose a day
on the 3rd. So we will go to sleep on the 3rd and wake up on the 5th!
 
Well, there is so much more to say, but I just can't afford it!
