TRAVEL TRIPS FOR 2010
Plan to join us as we visit the world beyond our borders

 


MAY 2010 – San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
Led by Dr. Kathleen Hudson
Includes a day trip to Guanajuato and an overnighter to Patzcuaro
IDST 4240 – Global Issues
 


MAY 2010
– Germany and Poland
Led by Prof Sarah Schmidt
IDST 3260 – Aesthetics “The Holocaust Memorials” beginning with the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC and including stops in Heidelberg, Weimar, Berlin, Warsaw and Krakow.
 

MAY 2010 – Austria and Germany Choir Trip

Led by Prof Michael Kahl and Prof Terri Henneke-Theis
MUSC 1102 – University Choir
MUSC 2102 – Concert Choir
IDST 2270 – Art and Music in Austria and Germany, includes Oberammergau, Vienna and Saltzberg. The choir will perform at several venues and the trip provides an opportunity to attend the internationally known Passion Play. Community participants are invited to join the group for this trip.

JULY 2010 – Florence, Italy
Led by the art faculty, who would like to make this an annual experience for their art students and others who are taking art courses as required or as electives, as part of the Schreiner University Summer School curriculum. Courses to be announced.
 

JULY 2010 – London, England

Led by Dr.
Lydia Kualapai
IDST 3260 – Aesthetics
IDST 2270 - Topics / Sketchbook
Focus will be on aesthetics through photography and journaling. Dr. Kualapai prepares you during the semester for this travel experience.
 


THE CALL GOES FORTH:
Attention students with a 3.0 cumulative GPA  Each year Schreiner allows 4 students to petition to spend a semester abroad during the following academic year. Petitions are due in the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs by this November 30, 2009.
