Texas Music
Coffeehouse Series at Schreiner University to
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Sept. 6
The Texas Music Coffeehouse Series at Schreiner
University will celebrate Hispanic Heritage
Month on Wednesday, September 6, at 7 p.m.
in the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity
Center Corner Pocket.

The night will feature a performance by
Stephanie Urbina Jones.
La Prensa of San Antonio raves “Stephanie Urbina
Jones has combined her dual heritage into a
unique music genre. Jones possesses an intense
pride in being Latina, but the icing on the cake
is Jones' unique and superb voice that is sheer
delight on the senses.” Performing Songwriter
Magazine describes Jones as an artist who
“freely combines the singer/songwriter vibe with
the hot blooded traditional sounds of Mexico.
Jones just naturally embraces a wider swath of
the Lone star state than her contemporaries."
She will be accompanied by Florin Sanchez, the
first Wayne Kennemer Scholarship winner and
Roberto Ramos.
The evening will begin with open mike at 7 p.m.,
followed by Jones’ exciting performance. It is
free and open to the public.
