“Jimmie Peschel is a
wonderful example of a Schreiner graduate who
has chosen to stay in the Hill Country to raise
his family and serve his community,” said
Jennifer Farhoudi, associate director of
development for annual giving at Schreiner
University. “His family and his company have
been longtime supporters of Hill Country College
Fund and we are truly appreciative. Through
their generosity, they are passing the gift of
education on to future generations of Hill
Country students.”
Since the
Hill Country College Fund began in 1977, it
has provided more than $8 million in need-based
tuition assistance to students from Kimble,
Kerr, Gillespie, Kendall, Bandera, Real, and
Edwards counties, and helps more than 250 Hill
Country Students annually. Hill Country College
Fund grants provide an average of over $2,900 a
year per recipient, and one hundred percent of
funds raised goes to student scholarships.
