Washington Monthly has named
Schreiner University in the top tier of
America’s liberal arts colleges in its annual
rankings in the magazine’s September issue.
Of the 202 liberal arts colleges in the top
quartile, Schreiner was ranked #122.
Washington Monthly’s ranking methodology differs
from that of the better known publications in
that it is weighted more toward “outcomes” than
“input.” Rather than using factors such as
entering freshman SAT scores and alumni giving,
Washington Monthly’s rankings measure how well
colleges and universities are serving the nation
based on their graduates’ performance in three
categories: social mobility, research and
service. |
