“This is such a wonderful gift
that the Tivy High School
classes of ’45 and ’46 have made
to Hill Country College Fund. So
many local students will benefit
from their generosity,” said
Jennifer Farhoudi, associate
director of development for
annual giving at Schreiner
University. “I am very inspired
by the fact that they have
chosen to pass on the gift of
education to Hill Country
students.”
Since the
Hill Country College Fund
began in 1977, it has provided
more than $8 million in
need-based tuition assistance to
students from Kimble, Kerr,
Gillespie, Kendall, Bandera,
Real, and Edwards counties, and
helps more than 250 Hill Country
Students annually. Hill Country
College Fund grants provide an
average of over $2,900 a year
per recipient and one hundred
percent of funds raised goes
directly to student
scholarships.
