Schreiner University’s Pre
Law Society Film Series presents the movie “The
Music Box” Wednesday, September 20, at 7 p.m.
in the Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus
Activity Center Theatre.
The public is encouraged to attend this free
event. Refreshments will be provided.
In the movie, Jessica Lange portrays attorney
Ann Talbot, who defends her affable Hungarian
immigrant father, threatened with deportation
and accused of being a war criminal. After
expertly blowing holes through the prosecution’s
case, she learns he has spent a lifetime paying
off a blackmailer. Director Costa-Gavras and
screenwriter Joe Esterhas deliver in a calm,
collected manner that makes the ultimate horror
of the story all the more effective.
