Corey
Weaver was the winner of “The Hill
Country’s Got Talent” competition held
Sept. 17 during the
Hill Country College Fund telethon.
Weaver’s vocal performance was chosen as
the best by a panel of judges and
audience vote. He was awarded a cash
prize of $500.
The telethon, hosted by KVHC Channel 15,
raised more than $6,000 for the Hill
Country College Fund. To date more than
$70,000 has been raised to fund
scholarships for students from Kerr and
the surrounding counties who attend
Schreiner University. |

want to extend our heartfelt thanks to

to all of the people who donated to the
Hill Country College Fund,” said
Mignonne Frantzen, director of
development at Schreiner. |
The
Hill Country College Fund began in 1977 and
since then has awarded over $8 million to
students from Kerr and surrounding counties.
