Former student makes his pitch for Schreiner
Paige Bishop graduated from Schreiner University in 2001, with a degree in business and four years of Mountaineer baseball under his belt. Now he has combined both baseball and business and is giving back to his alma mater.
Bishop invented The Pitch Pad to help pitchers from Little League to the big leagues develop greater accuracy, marketing it through Bishop Family Enterprises in San Antonio. He donated the original prototype to Schreiner and now has brought the University baseball team the “new, improved version.”
“I spent four years here,” Bishop said. “This is my way of helping the team.” He added with a grin, “I can’t throw for them anymore.”
