Texas Music Coffeehouse on April 4

KERRVILLE, Texas -- Texas Heritage Music Foundation and Schreiner University’s Center for Innovative Learning announce the April 2007 installment of the Texas Music Coffeehouse series.

Thom the World Poet

In celebration of International Poetry Month, April 4’s Coffeehouse will feature an open mike, a poetry slam contest and Thom the World Poet, Austin-based improvising poet and troubadour at large. He is co-founder of Austin International Poetry Festival and has published 85 books, 7 CDs and 35 poetry tapes. The event will take place in the Corner Pocket at the Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner University campus from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

All Texas Music Coffeehouse events are open to the public and free of charge. Sponsors for the spring 2007 Coffeehouse series are Texas Heritage Music Foundation, Center for Innovative Learning, Schreiner Studies Activities, Chi Phi Fraternity, The Muse, Sigma Tau Delta and REV-FM Radio.
