Schreiner Coffeehouse opens with tribute to Rodgers

Schreiner University’s Texas Coffeehouse Series kicks off the new academic year with a tribute to Jimmie Rodgers featuring Austin-based singer/songwriter Brennen Leigh, 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5. The coffeehouse will be in The Lion’s Den (formerly Corner Pocket) in the Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner campus. A student duo, Two for Texas, will be the opening act.  Open mike is at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

This event is presented by Schreiner’s Center for Innovative Learning, and is co-sponsored by Schreiner University and the Texas Heritage Music Foundation. It is free and open to the public.
