Hill Country College Fund Surpasses 2007-2008 Goal

The Schreiner University Hill Country College Fund surpassed its goal of $535,000 for the 2007-2008 academic year raising $655,828. HCCF provides need based tuition grants to Schreiner students from Kerr, Gillespie, Bandera, Kendall, Kimble, Edwards and Real counties.

“Schreiner is dedicated to educating its students and preparing them for a successful future—and what a great investment,” said HCCF chair Diane Green. “The Hill Country College Fund helps so many students with the funds needed to attend college, fulfill ambitions and goals, and make a positive impact on our community. The HCCF campaign could not be a success without the generosity of so many in our community. I want to acknowledge and thank all the volunteers who gave of their time to make dreams a reality for so many students.”

Green also thanked her co-chairs—Sue Tiemann and Mindy Wendele, Advanced Gifts; Roland Pena and Ronnie Miller, Business Division; Philip Stacy and Linda Sommerville, Community Division; and Carole Errett and LaVonne Miller, University Division. “They were so diligent in working to raise funds and recruit volunteers, and so generous with their time and energy in reaching our goal,” she said.
