Among the
free
events
will be a concert Tuesday, June 26, by
David LaMotte, the North Carolina
singer-songwriter who has performed at venues all over the U.S.,
including The Kerrville Folk Festival.
Those who want to
attend other conference events can register for them on an
individual, day-by-day basis for a pro-rated fee. The registration
table will be located at the entrance to the Cailloux Campus
Activity Center on the Schreiner campus throughout the conference.
Restorative justice is a multidisciplinary approach to mending or
putting right harm caused by criminal behavior, and deals with such
topics as victim-offender dialogue, domestic violence, juvenile
offenders and community crime prevention. The conference will
feature national and international leaders from areas such as law,
education, criminal justice and faith communities.
The Schreiner University Moot Court Society will be selling sterling
silver doves pins/charms for $24 at the conference to raise money
for the society. The dove was designed especially for the conference
by Jim Morris, a Kerrville artist.
