|
The Polar
Bear Challenge, hosted by the Mo-Ranch Conference Center,
benefits a different local charity every year. On January 1,
2008, participants will be raising money for Schreiner
University’s
Hill Country College Fund,
which provides need-based tuition grants to Schreiner
students from Kerr, Gillespie, Bandera, Kendall, Kimble,
Edwards and Real counties.
At the University’s kickoff for the event, 19 people signed
up for the official Schreiner team—Arthur Bell, Mike Lowe,
Paul Camfield, Ron Macosko, Sarah Dixon, Andrew Miller, Paco
Espinoza, Kiley Miller, Kamron Farhoudi, Pat Murray, Jose
Flores, Rick Phipps, Fred Gamble, Greg Shrader, Charles
Gray, Bob Waller, Matt Goodwyn, Mindy Wendele and Peter
Lewis—all of whom will be braving the Guadalupe River in
January to benefit HCCF and Schreiner students. |
