Schreiner Moot Court Teams - October 2007

Schreiner University’s Moot Court teams made a good showing at the recent Southwest Regional Moot Court Competition. Pictured, back row, left to right, are Alysia Tubbs, Tracy White, Rae Kincead and Lazaro Alvarez. In front, left to right, are Mary Lou Yreugas and Elsa Cepeda.

Moot Court is an exercise in which students study a constitutional problem and U.S. Supreme court cases, then argue before a panel of judges for or against the trial court’s decision. In the 2006-07 academic year, Schreiner University’s Moot Court ranked 10 in the Southwest Region.

For more information about how Moot Court builds analytical, presentation and advocacy skills for students in any discipline, contact Dr. Anne Berre at aberre@schreiner.edu.
