Schreiner University Presents Chautauqua Lecture September 24

Schreiner University will present the first of the Robert P. Hallman Chautauqua Lecture Series for the 2007-2008 academic year at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24 in the theater of the Cailloux Campus Activity Center.

Dr. Thomas D. Purifoy, a member of Schreiner’s teacher education faculty, will speak on the topic “Building Student Respect,” with ideas about gaining the respect of children and students. Dr. Purifoy suggested that attendees “bring a pencil or pen.”

All Chautauqua events are free and open to the public, and are videotaped for later broadcast on Channel 2 Kerrville, a public service program funded in part by a grant from Humanities Texas. For more information, please contact Martha York at the Schreiner University Center for Innovative Learning by calling 792-7352 or send an e-mail to mlyork@schreiner.edu.
