Texas Heritage Music Foundation Brings “Westward Ho!” Production to Kerrville

KERRVILLE, Texas — Texas Heritage Music Foundation
brings Duke Davis’ “Westward Ho!” production to Kerrville September 28. The theatrical music presentation caps off Texas Living History Day activities and takes place on the Schreiner University campus at 7 p.m. Dinner by Buzzie’s BBQ will be available for $10 per plate. The public is invited.

“Westward Ho” presents the origin and history of cowboy and western music through the character of an old-time cowboy, brought to life by Duke Davis. Beginning with original songs written in the post-Civil War era, progressing through the turn of the 20th century and into modern-day western music, Davis and his band Buckshot take the audience on an entertaining tour of a cowboy’s life through songs, recitations and anecdotes.
