Whittington joins Schreiner University advancement office |
|
|
|
|
|
Phyllis Whittington has
joined the staff of Schreiner University’s
Office of Advancement as director of development.
Whittington comes to Schreiner after 16 years with the American Cancer
Society, where she most recently served as regional vice president of field
operations for South Texas. She has also served as regional director for
ACS, in Harlingen and as San Antonio metro executive director.
As director of development at Schreiner, Whittington will be the chief
fund-raising officer, with oversight of all Schreiner fund-raising,
including major gifts, foundation relations and government programs. |

“Once I visited the campus of Schreiner University, experiencing first-hand
its beauty, history and caring community of staff and faculty I knew this
was not only where I wanted to establish a career but my life,” Whittington
said. “Each and every interaction I have had on a daily basis throughout
Schreiner and Kerrville has been most welcoming. With both of my own sons
having graduated from Baylor and UT-Pan American in December of 2006, I know
first-hand the value of the quality of education and supportive environment
Schreiner University provides its students.”
