Schreiner University Vocational Nursing Program Graduation
KERRVILLE, Texas — Graduates of Schreiner University’s vocational nursing program received their diplomas at a campus ceremony held on February 8, 2008, before an audience of friends, family, and members of the University’s academic faculty.
Members of the graduating class are: Tammy Eaton Bolin of Ingram, daughter of Jerry and Shirley Byrum; Kathleen Williams Bryson of Kerrville; Jennifer Calder of Boerne, daughter of Lawrence and Amy Toth; Sara Closs of Kerrville, daughter of Steven and Karen Jones; Leann Cravey of Kerrville; Billie Dean of San Antonio, president of the nursing class, and daughter of Mark and Nelda Mitchell; Jordan Dennis of Boerne, daughter of Joe and Bonnie Dennis; Sarah Guderian of Kerrville, daughter of Thomas and PhyllisGuderian; Paige Hackey of Kerrville, secretary/treasurer of the nursing class, and daughter of Shelia Hackey; Juanita Hernandez of Kerrville, daughter of Lidia Hidalgo; Bethany Hill of Kerrville, daughter of Linda Esquell; Ronette Hodge of Kerrville, daughter of Linda Barlou; Kaitlin Honeycutt of Kerrville, daughter of Buzzie and Brenda Hughes; Charleen McGowan of Harper, daughter of Al Foster and Rose Nibblett; Nikki Monroe, daughter of Bruce and Debbie Monroe; Sarah Otka of Kerrville, daughter of Ed and Sarah Babinchak; Lauren Rippy of Austin, daughter of Lance and Missy Rippy; Yuri Rivera, daughter of Alicia Segura; Kristin Stewart of Boerne, daughter of Bruce Stewart, Michele and Joseph Galindo, and James Wagner of Ingram, son of J.D. Wagner and Beth Goldman.
Kathleen Williams Bryson was recognized for outstanding academic achievement. Jordan Dennis was recognized for outstanding clinical performance.
Susan Sieker, RN, from Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital was the speaker for the commencement. The invocation/benediction was delivered by the Rev. Neal Matthews from the Kerrville State Hospital.
Schreiner University offers two rotations of its one-year vocational nursing certification program each year; one begins in the fall and one begins in the spring.
