Aug. 1 is deadline for auditing courses at Schreiner

If you are planning to audit one of the 16 Schreiner University courses that are open for Hill Country residents 55 years old and older, you have less than month to register. The last day for registering to audit is Friday, Aug. 1.

The classes available for the 2008 fall term are Introduction to Clay (art), Scientific Terminology (biology), Introduction to Journalism, World Literature, Mythology, Introduction to Sport Management, French, History of Mexico, Modern Asia, Texas Music, Introduction to International Relations, Judicial Process, Middle East, Environmental Psychology, Health Psychology and Christian Theology.

There is a $25 registration fee per semester and a fee of $25 per semester hour. For most courses, this will be $75. Classes are open first to regularly enrolled Schreiner students, then to auditors on a space-available basis. Class size is restricted to maintain Schreiner’s 13:1 student-teacher ratio. Auditors will receive a certificate of completion from the instructor.

To register as an auditor and for more information about the program, go to www.schreiner.edu/admission  and look under the Non-Degree Admission at the bottom of the page, or call admissions at (830) 792-7217.
